Goat weekend!

Well after stopping in Inola to pick up Prince William or "BlackCat" as Caden calls our new billy. Wryan went to Atoka Sunday morning and picked up 10 baby pygmy goats.
Later that afternoon we went to Justin & Kathy Akin's son Jackson's 5th birthday party. We all got tickled at Caden because Kathy told the kids that they each got TWO tries to bust the pinata. Well most just kept hitting it until they were told to give someone else a try. Caden being Mr. Serious walks up hits the pinata exactly TWO times & then passes the bat to the next kiddo. Kathy had to tell him to hit it some more!

Baker twins birthday party

Caden has been sick with a double ear infection since Tuesday but he had been looking forward to going to James & Jami Baker's twins 4th birthday party in Stillwater on Saturday. Well Saturday morning he was still sick but we decided to go anyway since he wasn't contagious. It was held at a gymnastic center and Caden had a great time jumping on the trampoline and running on the padded floor.

Addison Thomas's 3rd birthday party

Caden and I enjoyed Matt and Katie Thomas's little girl Addison's 3rd birthday at the gymnastic center in Poteau. I was very happy to see Caden come out of his shell and not be afraid of all the activities.

Mimi & Brent's wedding

Mom & Brent got married today (Valentines Day) right after church. Caden & Caroline were in charge of throwing rose petals. It was funny. They both waited until they were almost all the way down the aisle then Caroline just dumped hers out while Caden methodically spread them out. During the service they decided that they needed to pick them up!

Valentine's dinner

After Caroline's party we went to Red Lobster to eat for Valentine's Day. There was a wait, of course but Caden entertained himself playing with the toy horse that Papa Dana got him. It's a palomino color but Caroline says it's a "yellowmino." Caden tried my crab legs & to the entertainment of those around us said, "Yum this tastes like chicken!"

Caroline's 3rd Birthday party

Today we all went to Ft Smith for Caroline's "Candy" birthday party. Poor Caroline, she was so concerned about what Caden was doing that she could barely open her presents. We got her a cowgirl hat and belt to go along with the boots that Papa Dana got her for Christmas. She even wore her hat with her pretty dress.

Valentine's Party

Today was Caden's Valentines party at preschool. We made heart shaped Rice Krispie treats dyed pink & blue. Blue was Caden's idea because "Boys need blue ones." He took Power Ranger Valentines for his class.

C-A-T

This morning Caden asked if today was a preschool day. I told him it was. He said, "Mom I like preschool. It makes you smart. C-A-T Cat. See I'm getting smarter!" I was shocked. My 3 year old must be a genius, I thought. Then he says, "C-O-D-O-3. Does that spell HORSE?" Hee Hee. He's trying so hard. :)

More John Wayne

Caden & I are watching True Grit. It's one of John Wayne's last movies & John Wayne wears an eye patch. Caden said "Mom, I'm not that John Wayne." I think he may have changed his mind when he saw John Wayne riding his horse with his reins in his mouth, shooting a gun in each hand! He said, "Mom I'm going to try that sometime!" Wow this mom can hardly wait for all the John Wayne tricks in her future!

To continue the John Wayne saga, on the way to school this morning, Kanye West's "GoldDigger" came on the radio. He said, "Mom, do you think John Wayne would like this song?" HEEHEE I told him probably not!
